Stories and highlights
There's always something to celebrate at our school! From exciting events to proud moments and everyday wins, here are some of our highlights.
A year at our school
Chifley College success story!
Congratulations to Hailee Teo who is the recipient of a 2025 PATHE Academic Excellence Scholarship!
A proud Samoan student, Hailee attended Chifley College Shalvey Campus before completing her senior schooling at Chifley College Senior Campus, where she graduated with an early offer entry to Western Sydney University to study a Bachelor of Music.
A long-time participant in the PATHE program since her high school years, Hailee has consistently demonstrated a commitment to her growth and cultural identity through her love of music and learning.
Hailee’s advice to current high school student -- “Believe in your ability to grow! Where you start doesn't define how far you can go.”
Congratulations, we can’t wait to see all that you continue to achieve!
Sydney West Sport Representatives
Congratulations to five of our Year 10 students who travelled to Wollongong to represent Sydney West at the NSW CHS Secondary Rugby League state trials.
U15 Boys - George, Isaac and Jayme
U16 Girls - Tarnaya and Sienna (who unfortunately had to withdraw due to injury). Also Lilianne, who now attends our Senior Campus.
Well done to our students on their Sydney West selection and the work they put in over the three days, and in the lead up to the state trials.
Story Factory: Book Launch
There was a real buzz in our library this week as students from Year 7 and Year 10 came together to celebrate the launch of their very first book; Be Someone.
In collaboration with Story Factory, students from Year 10 designed and delivered two unique workshops for students in Year 6 at nearby primary schools last year; Noumea Public School and Shalvey Public School. The aim of these workshops was both to help the younger students with their literacy skills, but also to assist with their upcoming transition to high school.
The result is a unique, double-sided book, which you can start reading from either cover. One side is Heroes and Villains, featuring the students’ own imaginings of superheroes and their villainous nemeses. Flip the book over and the other side is Catching Dreams, all about brilliant contraptions to capture the young people’s happiest and wildest dreams. In between are the students' beautiful and thoughtful reflections on mentoring.
